ANNAMIE PAUL

Annamie has more than 15 years of experience in international affairs, external relations, and diplomacy. She currently directs the International Public Policy Action Plan Secretariat. Previously, Annamie worked as the Brussels Director for Crisis Action, an international conflict prevention and civilian protection NGO. She has also worked as an International Cooperation Advisor in the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court and as a Political Adviser in Canada’s Mission to the EU where she was responsible for the Africa, human rights, development, and conflict prevention portfolios.

Annamie has extensive experience in conceptualising and launching social entreprises. She was the founder and former Executive Director of the Canadian Centre for Political Leadership, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the participation of racial minorities in Canadian public leadership roles. Her organisation was awarded a Fellowship for Social Entrepreneurs by the Echoing Green Foundation, a leading international social venture philanthropy.

Annamie is a lawyer and holds a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa.
